After M.B.B.S. degree course, he got additional training and experiences in general surgery and anaesthesia. He completed his D. Ortho under the guidance of very renowned and experienced professor of Patna Medical College and Hospital, Patna. He is trained by the team of F.I.M.S. (USA) for management of sports injury. After completing post-graduate degree in Orthopedic Surgery from PMCH, Patna, he went to Delhi for the highest quality of education and training in India. He got training in all aspects of Orthopedic Surgery form a well organised and reputed centre in New Delhi (India).
He has been awarded with the prestigious DNB-Ortho degree by National Board of Examinations (run by Ministry of Heath, Govt. of India), New Delhi. Later he was granted M.N.A.M.S.-Ortho by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has got education and training for arthroscopy and arthroscopic procedures from Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education, New Delhi and Central Institute of Orthopaedics, Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi. He has expertise in Knee and Shoulder arthroscopic procedures like ACL reconstruction, Meniscectomy, Rotator cuff repair, etc. He is trained for complex trauma surgeries by AO Advanced Trauma, Switzerland.
He has worked with Dr. S.K.S. Marya (one of the top renowned Join Replacement Surgeon of North India) for about two years. He has got expertise in Hip and Knee Replacement surgeries from state of the art centres with international standards. He is doing all types of Joint Replacement (Arthroplasty) surgeries like primary and revision TKR (Total Knee Replacement) and THR (Total Hip Replacement) both cemented and un-cemented, UKR (Uni-condylar Knee Replacement), PHR (Partial Hip Replacement), Modular Bi-Polar Hemi-arthroplasty, Shoulder Replacement, Elbow Replacement etc. He is also trained in deformity correction of all the limbs and joints whether congenital or acquired. To get in to the depth of the specialty, he pursued special courses namely AO Trauma Basic Course, AO Trauma Advanced Course, Delhi Shoulder Course, Delhi Knee Course among others. Due to his constant involvement in the field of Orthopedics, he was able to publish his thoughts in Delhi Journal of Orthopaedics (DJO), Indian Journal of Orthopaedics (IJO) and Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma (JCOT). Dr. Anil Kumar has been an active member of state, national and international conferences alongside many workshops. He has been a part of important CMEs like Spinal Cord Lesion, Recent Advances in Spine Care, Management of Complex Trauma etc. Dr. Anil Kumar is known to be a kind-hearted individual, as he has volunteered various social services and camps like Polio Surgical Camps.
Dr. Anil Kumar is the name of an Indian origin rapidly growing young and enthusiastic Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon who is extremely kind-hearted and is devoted to human being by nature. Now he has started his practice in Patna to serve his native land (Bihar) which has been his dream. He is serving poor people free of cost by organising free camps at different places .
